Dear Woman in Law Enforcement

Over 120 women attended the 3rd Annual Leadership For Women In Law Enforcement Conference developed and researched by Intelligence Transfer Centre (ITC,) which took place over 3 days.
On arrival to the conference each women receive a documentation folder and hand made chocolate from ITC to make them feel welcome and appreciated.

It was clear over the course of the conference that the job of a woman in law enforcement is one of emotional stress, intellectual challenge and physical demands. The strengths of women in this industry were magnified after hearing some of the most inspiring women take to the podium on how they deal with their day-to-day tasks in a male dominated environment.

The fact remains that this is still a male dominated profession and although women entering this field is declining, their contributions are being recognized to a greater extent.

This objective platform had women from all spheres of law enforcement across borders come together to become a united force in advancing women in top positions within law enforcement.

The conference ended on a high note with a motivation and image workshop by Fashion Designer Bronwyn Saayman.  She showed women how to carry themselves and also analyzed their leadership styles through an assessment which helped women recognize their strengths.

Top speakers as rated by delegates were:

Karen D. Riley – UNITED STATES CONSULATE GENERAL (JHB)
Nomfundo Mogapi – CENTRE FOR THE STUDY OF VIOLENCE & RECONCILIATION
Thezi Rosemary Mabuza – SASSETA
Brigadier General Tersia Jacobs – SOUTH AFRICAN AIR FORCE

To thank our speakers an award was handed over to their organization for their contribution to the success of the conference.

The conference was rated as:
64% Excellent and 36% Good
