Dear Women in Mining
The Women in Mining conference attracted over 100 delegates and was a great success. One of the key issues discussed was ways of moving beyond the required 10% representation of women in mining.
Although the focus of the conference leaned towards the current challenges facing mines in having women in their mines, there was light at the end of the tunnel. Women do have a place in mining and productive role to play.
The questions posed included: What is your company doing to promote women in mining and get young women to choose a career in mining? How are you retaining top talent and establishing career guidance and support to existing female employees?
ITC is looking forward to host this conference next year with solutions to this year’s challenges.
